Regulators and shareholders demand the protection of an organisations reputation. The ASX Corporate Governance Council amended their policies and guidelines in February 2019 to stipulate that all listed entities ‘preserve and protect their reputation and standing in the community with key stakeholders, such as customers, employees, suppliers, creditors, law makers and regulators.’
